What an incredible story to tell. It’s hard to know where to start with Amy & Alex’s amazing wedding day.
One thing that its quintessentially clear – Together, these two are destined for great things. It warms my heart to see two incredible people, so genuine, so caring, so in love. To photograph their wedding day was an honour, but hearing their inspiring story undeniably makes you appreciate family, love and to revel in every moment of it.
The morning began catching up with Alex and the boys for breakfast. However moments after arriving, Alex steps me aside and says “You need see the girls…” smiling ear to ear “…We’ve got a surprise for Amy.” And what a surprise it was. As I arrived at the Mansfield Regional Produce Store, the cafe was packed. In the corner of my eye, I see Amy’s brother and Alex’s best friend roll up with a guitar in one hand and flowers in the other. As everyone stood in wonder of the events taking place, the serenade had begun. Singing the lyrics to Adam Sandler’s ‘Grow Old With You’ from the Wedding Singer, the once bustling cafe audience quietly stood in complete amazement and awe. There wasn’t a table in sight that didn’t have someone with tears in there eyes. It was only 10:00am and I was already captivated and excited for the rest of the day to come.
The ceremony was set within the gardens of their country home, Mansfield, Victoria, it was evident to see how busy Alex & Amy had been. With hard work and the helping hands of family and friends, their long anticipated vision had truly been brought to life. One step into the gardens was like stepping into romantic painting – vintage dressers, old furniture, ornate mirrors and hanging tea lights were daubed throughout the scene, as the light-play of the summer sun fell across the dam and trees. It was magic.
As the ceremony took place, I couldn’t help but smile knowing how lucky I was to be part of it all, sharing it with these two wondrous people and supporting families. It’s been close to a year since I started this amazing adventure into wedding photography, Amy & Alex reaffirms everything I adore about it. Thank you.
Another big thank you goes out to my beautiful partner Michelle, who helped me photograph Amy & Alex’s wedding, (her photos are throughout the blog) It is an absolute blessing to do this with you and have you here, along side me.

Grant and Natalie contacted me before everything – before any of the bookings, before the folio and before I knew what I was getting myself into.
I’m so glad they did.
After a long correspondence over several emails, we finally met down in a local Torquay cafe. From the initial discussions (and after a few glasses of amber inspiration) it was clear to me that this wedding was not only going to be spectacular, but also an absolute honour for me to shoot. Natalie’s fun and bubbly excitement paired with Grant’s chilled out positivity, made me thrilled to see their amazing day to come to fruition.
The reception itself was beyond beautiful. Adorning the top of Lorne’s mountainous hilltops, are the Lorne Bush House Cottages. Mixed with a certain blend of ‘bush meets the beach’, these cottages boast some of the most enchanting views of Lorne I’ve ever seen. The wedding was spectacular in every sense. The groom and his best men checking on the swell, the bridesmaids fussing over bride, and an amazing group of family and friends beaming with happiness for the soon to be married couple.
I had only met Grant and Natalie that once before their wedding. Still to this day, I am blown away at their immense kindness, friendship and generosity. Just listening to their vows, the speeches from family and friends, it’s easy to see why so many people care for these two. We meet an endless amount of people in this crazy world, yet there are those rare souls who come along and can change your whole perception within seconds, those inspiring people who can fill you with an overall sense of happiness, just being in there presence. Grant and Natalie are two of these people. And everyone at that wedding knows it.
I can’t thank Grant and Natalie enough for letting me be part of there special day – and for taking a chance with me. You are both such an amazing couple, I wish you nothing but the best of lives together.

Just a quick turn from the Northern highway, lies Wallan, Victoria. A small yet inviting township, nestled contently between the golden hills of farming life and the mountainous backdrop of the Great Dividing Range.
To me, Wallan means so much. The relaxed people, the sense of community and most of all the beautiful untouched landscapes only a few steps away. Back when I was in university – young, broke and in-love – I would drive through the surrounding towns of the Macedon Ranges, always looking back to Wallan, pondering the idea of this ‘small’ town being part of my big picture. All I can say is, I’m half way there.
When I first met with Catheryn and Mick at her Wallan Hair Salon, I was already determined to be part of this wedding, and I think they knew it. After receiving the approval I was left beaming, their day sounded perfect. Getting ready in Romsey, the ceremony at a homestead in Upper Plenty and the reception in Kilmore. Once the day arrived, I was left in complete awe, the homestead views were truly indescribable, complemented perfectly with the glorious sunshine.
Spending close to 12 hours photographing the beautiful couple, family and friends- I was reaffirmed on why I love this town and its amazing people. See you all soon.
On the 24th of April, just a shy drive past the historic City of Ballarat, stands the small town of Talbot, in where one especially big event was taking place.
Earlier this year, Haley contacted me to photograph their wedding day and I jumped at the chance to be part of it. From our initial discussions over coffee in Melbourne to the day of the ceremony, it was evident in my mind that Haley and Rus are essentially, two beautiful examples of true love finding its way in this world – Together, they share the kindest of souls, so perfectly matched for each other, so perfectly content – no words can really do justice. Although the photos below are only a glimpse of the day, hopefully they reflect this.
Personally, the 24th of April is a day I will remember. Being quite new to the world of Wedding Photography I left learning so much technically, but more notably I left inspired knowing that if I am half as happy as these two are on my big day, I will be one lucky man.
It was an absolute pleasure to capture such a beautiful day in Haley and Russell’s lives. I wish them the best with their new lives together.

What a perfect day. Today, was my first-ever wedding shoot with the lovely couple Tim & Chella, two amazing individuals who graciously gave me the honour of capturing their wedding day, held at Ttekceba, Dandenong Ranges, Victoria.
Hidden behind my photographic exterior, was a mixed bag of nerves and excitement, there is only so much training and technical knowhow that can prepare you for such an event. However as the day played out, I soon realised that I honestly couldn’t have asked for a more fantastic and understanding couple. The photo session was great fun and amazingly beautiful from start to finish. The Ttekceba Cottage is a photographers dream, with over seven acres of picturesque views. On each turn, we would find another beautiful setting to work with, blossoming with an array of vibrant flora, an absolutely sublime site.
I look back at the photos of the day and all I can think is how genuinely honoured and blessed I am to have been part of their wedding, celebrating and capturing one of the most happiest days in their lives.
Thank you Tim & Chella.
